New Perspectives for Geotextiles and Roofing Applications at Techtextil 2026

At Techtextil 2026, we showcase innovative materials for geotextiles and roofing applications that combine high performance with sustainability.

Our research focuses on converting hard-to-recycle post-consumer plastics (PP, PE, PET) and bio-based materials into high-performance fibers and films. Recycled PP and PET fibers achieve technical-grade properties suitable for demanding applications such as roofing underlayments and durable geotextiles. In addition, PLA-based fibers with controlled biodegradation open new possibilities for soil-contact applications.

The project covers the entire value chain – from material preparation to production, testing, and environmental assessment.
