re:think convention

On April 23, 2026, Fraunhofer CCPE will present its innovative Monomaterial Design Set at the “re:think convention” organized by Nowy Styl, sending a strong signal for sustainable product design and a functioning circular economy.

A special highlight of the day will be the award ceremony for the “re:think design competition,” which is being scientifically accompanied by Fraunhofer CCPE. The competition honors outstanding design concepts that consistently focus on sustainability, material efficiency, and recyclability.

As a member of the jury, Sabrina Schreiner, head of the Research Department “Application and Demonstration” and group leader “User-Centered Technology” at the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety and Energy Technology UMSICHT, is significantly involved in the evaluation of the competition entries. Together with the other jury members, she examines the concepts in terms of their degree of innovation, feasibility, and sustainability.

With the Monomaterial Design Set and its scientific support for the Design Competition, Fraunhofer CCPE is underlining its commitment to not only researching sustainable material solutions, but also actively putting them into practice – for products that are designed to be recyclable from the outset.
