DECHEMA FORUM 2026

The DECHEMA FORUM 2026 is themed “Defossilizing the Process Industry: Creating Competitive Solutions” and brings together representatives from industry, academia, and research to discuss practical solutions for the sustainable transformation of the process industry. In addition to expert presentations, the interactive format provides a space for exchange, networking, and the development of concrete approaches along industrial value chains.

Fraunhofer CCPE is organizing the workshop “Bioeconomy & Biobased Polymers – from Material to Application,” which will take place on September 15, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Using biobased polymers as a starting point, the workshop provides a practical introduction to the bioeconomy: Following a brief introduction, participants will move through three interactive stations focusing on value creation and sustainability, material comparisons in the laboratory, and application areas and opportunities for collaboration. The goal is to identify potential and challenges along the value chain and to generate momentum for concrete collaborations.
